The Pine Level Fire Department Training Group is managed by Senior Training Instructors Dianne Caffey and Scott Ninesling. The Division's mission is to ensure that all members have access to the training needed to operate as a member of the department. The Divsion has 9 certified Instructors at their disposal to accomplish it's mission. The Division offers entry level training courses such as HAZMAT Awareness & Operations, Fire Fighter I & II and First Responder. In addition, the Division offers weekly training events to keep member's skill level at peak performance. Advanced classes offered by the Division include Technical Rescue, Apparatus Operator, Fire Officer, Instructor and Emergency Medical Technician courses. |
Senior Instructors-
Dianne Chambless
Senior Instructor Dianne Caffey joined the department in 1997 and received her 15 year anniversary recognition in 2012. She is certified as a Firefighter II by the Alabama Fire College & Personnel Standards Commission. She also holds certifications as Fire Instructor I, Apparatus Operator: Pumper & Mobile Water Supply, Fire Officer I, HazMat Awareness & Operations and the National Incident Management System. Instructor Chambless was recognized by the department members in 2011 and 2014 as the Firefighter of the Year. Instructor Chambless is currently assisting in the establishment of a statewide instructors association and serves as the Secretary of that effort. Instructor Chambless also serves as the Secretary of the PLFD Board of Directors.
Instructor Chambless has two son’s, Michael and Austin.
Scott Ninesling
Senior Instructor Scott Ninesling joined the department in 1991 and then returned to the PLFD in 2001 after serving as Chief of the Red Hill Fire Department. He is certified as a Firefighter II by the Alabama Fire College & Personnel Standards Commission and is licensed as an EMT-Paramedic by the Alabama Department of Public Health and National Registry of EMTs. He also holds certifications as Fire Instructor III, Live Fire Instructor, Fire Officer IV, Apparatus Operator: Pumper, Mobile Water Supply & ARFF, Incident Safety Officer, Fire Inspector II, Fire Investigator, Rescue Technician: Rope, Confined Space & Vehicle/Machinery Extrication, HazMat Specialist and a Train-The-Trainer for the National Incident Management System. He holds degrees from Trenholm State Technical College(AA) and the University of Alabama(BA). Instructor Ninesling was recognized by the department in 2009 & 2012 as the Firefighter of the Year. Instructor Ninesling is employed full-time as a Safety & Emergency Response Specialist.

Instructor Ernie Smith is a certified Fire Instructor. He also holds certifications for Hazmat Awarenous and Operations, Fire Fighter II, Fire Officer I, and he is a certified First Responder. |

EMS Instructor-
Jeffery Painter
EMS Instructor Jeffery Painter joined the department in 2014. He is licensed as an EMT-Paramedic by the Alabama Department of Public Health and National Registry of EMTs. He also holds certifications for PreHospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Emergency for PreHospital Providers (PEPP), Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), Traffic Incident Management and the National Incident Management System (NIMS). He holds a degree from Trenholm State Technical College(AA). Instructor Painter is employed full-time as ALS Paramedic for Haynes Ambulance of Alabama in their Autauga County office.
