Tanker 781

Currently housed at Station 1, Tanker 781 is a 2002 Freightliner FL-70. 781 is equipped with a 400 gpm pump and 2,000 gallon water tank. This apparatus was purchased from Good Hope Fire Company in 2002 and placed into service later that year. The truck carries 2 Scott SCBA, 50 feet of 3" supply hose and 400 feet of 1 3/4" attack line. The truck is also equipped with a 10" dump valve and 2,000 gallon dump tank for water shuttle operations. 

781 has a first due response area for all areas north of I-65 and Hwy 31 and responds to all structural fires, vehicle fires, wildland fires and HAZMAT incidents in that area. Additionally, 781 is a first response unit for all mutual-aid calls.

Tanker 782

Currently housed at Station 2, Tanker 782 is a 1980 International S-1954. 782 is equipped with a 400 gpm pump and 1,600 gallon water tank. This apparatus was built on an existing chasis by members of the PLFD with Chief Caffey as the lead builder. The truck carries 1 Scott SCBA, 100 feet of 3" supply hose and 600 feet of 1 3/4" attack line. The truck is also equipped with a 10" dump valve for water shuttle operations. 

782 has a first due response area for all areas south of I-65 and Hwy 31 and responds to all structural fires, vehicle fires, wildland fires and HAZMAT incidents in that area. Additionally, 782 is a first response unit for all mutual-aid calls.
